New Clinic Policy – COVID-19
.Before booking appointments, we will use screening questions (triage) to assess whether we can treat you without endangering your health and ours. If it is not appropriate or safe to offer hands-on treatment, we will offer you the alternative of a telephone consultation.
.You will need to respond to the email with regards to the Consent/Cancellation and GDPR forms.
.We will also need to triage you on the day, by telephone on the morning of your day of treatment.
.We will avoid using our waiting room, so will ask you to arrive right on time for your appointment. Please do not arrive late, as extra time will not be allocated. If you are more than 15 minutes late than you will be deemed to have missed your appointment, and will be charged for the full value of the appointment.
.Regretfully, until further notice there will be no bathroom/toilet facilities.
.You will need to wear a face mask. You can purchase one from our clinic if you do not have one.
.Your osteopath will greet you and check your temperature before your treatment. If it will be deemed high, than your session will not take place.
.You will also be required to sanitise your hands before your treatment.
.Only 1 person will be allowed to come in with you, if required. Please do not bring more than 1 person with you. The other person will also need to be screened to make sure that they are safe to come into the clinic. Without the screening process, they will not be allowed into the clinic.
.When treating children/babies – only 1 parent will be allowed into the clinic.
.We will stagger patient arrival and departure times so that social distancing can be enforced.
.We have purchased clinic equipment such as pillow covers that can be easily sanitized after every appointment.
.Treatment rooms and anything else that patients may touch, such as door handles, will be thoroughly sanitized between appointments.
.The Osteopath will be wearing a face mask and PPE equipment.
.Clinic staff will not come to work if there is any suspicion of viral symptoms, or if they suspect they have been in contact with anyone within their social distancing bubble who has symptoms.
.You are asked not to attend appointments if you have any suspicion of viral infection and to cancel your appointment as soon as possible. There will be no cancellation fees for short-notice cancellations in these circumstances.
.We are trying to reduce paper passed between the clinic and patients, so will be using electronic communication for form filling, appointment notifications, receipts, etc.
